   Braehead Golf Course
Braehead Braehead

We arrive at Braehead at 7.30am to meet a good friend of mine John Breslin who I worked with in Audit Scotland.  John has kindly invited us to his course.  Braehead is just outside Alloa and is a cracking golf course with fantastic views.  The course was a bit wet due to the amount of rain recently but was still good condition.  It was probably one of my worst rounds of the year and Stu played reasonably well but with no run on the fairways it was playing long.  The last time I played here it was the office outing and I shot 67 today I managed an 80!!!  - We still had a fantastic time though which is the main thing.

Nothing of much significance happened in the round both us managed to keep the dongo trail going and Stu beat me 4&2.  The signature hole is again tough to award with a number of very good holes on the course.  All the par 3’s are very nice the first is a testing dog leg and the 10th is one of my favourite holes on the course.  So the award goes to the 14th the par 3 down the hill.  You tee up high and play to a green 200 yards away but it has a lovely back drop and is a joy to play.

Braehead in general is a friendly course, does cracking lunches and is very good value for money. So if your looking for a centrally based course for office outings or even just looking to visit then this course is highly recommended by us.
