   Cupar Golf Course
Cupar Cupar

Cupar golf club per the web site is believed to be the oldest nine hole course in the world…..its certainly one of the hilliest…although very very good.  We arrived at Cupar after playing Lochgelly to an empty course no-one on it so we had it to ourselves.  It actually took us longer to find the course than to actually play it!

We could see the course however we did eventually find the lane that took you past a graveyard up to the clubhouse.  The course starts with a short par 3 over a wee hill to start and then slowly works itself up the hill and across.  There is one hole on the course that has a double green the 2nd and 4th share that and probably Stu’s favourite green in the world.  He holed a monster putt for par at the 2nd after hacking it up to the green in three and then played two great shots to the 4th and yet again sunk another big putt this time for birdie (super dongo!). The 6th was probably the signature hole with a par 3 straight up hill of which Stu managed to par then you play across the hill for 7 and 8.  Eight is a tight dog leg up to the left and is also a very good hole of which Craig managed to birdie and then the last is a straight forward par 4 down the hill which Craig managed to birdie again and Stu a par.  The match finished all square and we thought about going round again as we had time but had ran out of puff!

All in all a very enjoyable course and if your looking for nine we recommend it.
