Port Royal is situated next to Edinburgh Airport and is predominantly a driving range with a putting green and now a short par 3 course.  We pitch up after our trip to Dollar and Milnathort to see if there was a course and yes there is and it has a scorecard so game on!

The 9 hole layout measures 45 yards at the shortest and 81 yards as the longest hole.  We both set targets of 25 for Craig and Stu 30.  Stu made his by scoring 29 and Craig failed by scoring 26.  Not the best greens and pins were in some case on inches on the green so the amount of times I was six feet form the flag and off the green was ridiculous.  Stu never once hit an iron using his rescue to bump and grind his way round.  However…..interesting fact I’m sitting here typing and I have just looked at the local rules and it stipulates at local rule 4. “No woods allowed on course”.  Does this mean Stu is required to play it again??????

Anyway its another course knocked off and at £4.80 it was ok but second fact of today….this cost us more than Muifield!!!!
