   Maybole Golf Course
Maybole Maybole

Its now Saturday and given the copious amount of drink we had last night we are surprisingly fresh and eager to get another round in before returning so we head for Maybole. Maybole is a nine hole town course which is gives an excellent view over the Carrick Hills (I only know they are the Carrick Hills as the website says so!).

We pitch up and manage to sneak in front of a visiting party and jump onto the tee and oh my god what a hilly course.  The website on the South Ayrshire web page says “…this rather hilly course boasting undulatin gfairways and if it’s not bad enough you go up and down this hill six times.  Again not as well looked after as the other municipal course but still enjoyable and was certainly a challenge.

The signature hole could have been one from three I liked the 7th (stroke index 1) probably because I birdied it and Stu liked the last a short par 3 down the hill where he made his par to keep the dongo trail going!  However, we award the signature hole to the 8th mainly due to the laugh we had.  The boys in front were so bad at golf  it was unreal and there was a huge amount of kids from the local area just slaughtering these guys from the trees to the side it made our day.

To summarise the course was ok and well priced to play but would not rush to play it however if you were in the area worth it for the exercise.  Myself and Stu will be rushing back however…… not to play it.  The night before some kids had nicked the sign so we could not get our photograph as evidence of being at the course we do have the card however.

Note to reader:

If you work for South Ayrshire can you replace the sign asap please.

If you are know what kid has the sign can you take a photo and send to us please.
